Aruba Queen Beatrix Intl. Airport (AUA) Car Hire

Minimum age to rent a vehicle is 23 and maximum rental age is 75 years. There are no additional fees for drivers under 25.

Driving restricted within the country of Aruba only.

Customer must pre-arrange delivery or collection of vehicle in advance Delivery and Collection available at no charge anywhere on the island

All one way rentals must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. One way charges apply and are payable at time of rental. One way charges cannot be prepaid.

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel. Option 1- We Refill This option allows the renter to pay National at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices. A 50% surcharge will apply. Option 2- You Refill This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.

Credit card, with available credit and in the renter's name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction. Credit Cards honored: American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Discover®, Diners Club® An authorization on the credit card in the amount of $300.00 plus the cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental. This authorization amount may be used toward damages of vehicles or late charges. Debit/check cards are considered to be any non-credit card American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Diners Club®, Discover® logo. Debit/Check cards are only accepted as a final form of payment. If renting with cash a deposit in the amount of $500.00 plus the cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental. This deposit amount may be used toward damages of vehicles or late charges.

Must meet the location's minimum age requirements. Present a valid driver's license from country of origin. International drivers must provide a valid license from their country of residence. In addition to the drivers license, if the characters are not in English or Latin characters, an international drivers permit is recommended. If the drivers license is in characters other than Latin, an International permit is required or a Notarized English Translation is accepted. Present a major credit card in renter's name at the time of rental. This location accepts notarized Chinese Drivers License.

Roadside Plus (RSP) - When purchased, RSP will provide roadside assistance to customers without additional charges. RSP Includes replacement of lost keys (including remote entry devices), flat tire service (if no inflated spare is available, vehicle will be towed), lockout service (providing special equipment is not required to open the car), towing (not related to an accident), and jump-start. Tires damaged beyond repair as a result of driver neglect is the responsibility of the renter.

Customers will exit customs to the arrivals hall. The rental counter is located 60 feet straight ahead.

Third Party Liability (TPL) is not insurance. The purchase of TPL is optional and not required in order to rent a vehicle, unless the vehicle is a 4x4. The purchase of TPL may be required by the rental company as a condition of rental for 4x4 vehicles. Customers can obtain coverage for damages and injuries to third parties, up to the policy limits, under the local rental car company's insurance by purchasing it's TPL protection. This is at least the minimum financial responsibility limit as outlined in the applicable motor vehicle financial responsibility laws of Aruba. TPL coverage is subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate the coverage as described in the rental agreement. Liability insurance purchased on third party travel websites and insurance that accompanies US credit or debit cards may not provide coverage in Aruba. For renters of 4x4 vehicles: The rental location requires purchase of TPL to rent a 4x4 unless you present written proof that your credit card provides Third Party Liability in Aruba.
