Doha Hamad International Airport (DOH) Car Hire

The Airport location is open from 7 am to 12 midnight Sat. to Thu. and closed on public holidays and Fridays. After Hours reservations received during working hours are attended by a Rental Agent at any time of day. After hours delivery charge is QAR 100 per delivery at airport counter. Out of hours returns should be arranged at prior notice at the time of rental pickup or by contacting the rental branch during branch operating hours. After hours collection at airport counter charge is QAR 100 per collection at airport counter.

Minimum rental age - 21 years. There is no young driver's surcharge.

It is not permitted to cross the Qatar border.

Collision Damage Waiver limits the customers financial responsibility for loss or damage of the rental vehicle. The maximum excess that is payable in the event of one of these incidents ranges from 500.00 to 1000.00 QAR. The maximum excess will vary depending on the vehicle you are renting. Please ask at time of rental for further information on which excess applies. In the case of an accident a complete valid police report is mandatory and must be provided to location staff when reported.

Delivery and Collection is available on-request to customer location/residence at additional charge of QAR 200 within Doha city limits and QAR 400 outside Doha city limits (in excess of 25 km radius). A valid driving license, passport, credit card is required to be presented to our employee at the time of delivery and/or collection. Domestic one way rentals are available to or from any rental location in Qatar at a cost of QAR 100.00. One ways are available for all cars, with a minimum rental length of 7 days. One ways have to be booked at least one day in advance.

Vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as provided at the beginning of the rental. Missing fuel will be charged at QAR 1.50 per litre plus QAR 50.00 refueling charge.

Cash rentals are NOT permitted. Acceptable credit cards are: Visa, Diners, MasterCard and Amex. Not acceptable are Travelers cheques and Euro cheques. Deposits are allowed by credit-card only and a maximum of 1 calendar month rental, with a minimum of QAR 2,000 or up to QAR 7,000.00 maximum, whichever is reached first is held on the credit card as the deposit for the duration of the rental. The location retains the right to apply a reduction in these limits if it deems appropriate.

In case of breakdown, telephone the AAA emergency number which can be found on the sticker located on the windscreen of every vehicle. Renters should also call Alamo Car Rentals emergency number +974 55881840. In case of an accident the renter must telephone the police on 999 and report the accident location, injury or death, if any, and follow instructions. It is recommended that the renter notify Nationals emergency line +974 55881840 immediately. The renter must move the vehicle, if drivable, to the side of the road or risk a penalty for obstruction of traffic. Where the vehicle cannot be moved, the police tow truck will tow the vehicle to prevent traffic obstruction. The renter must obtain a valid and complete Traffic Police report from the police covering all damage of the vehicle. Where the renter is at fault, payment of insurance excess and any traffic fines, if applicable, plus submission of the valid police report will enable a replacement vehicle to be issued.

License with photo identification free of all endorsements and penalties. In addition, an International driver’s license is required. International licenses are accepted at the discretion of the operator. The rental location will retain photocopies of all driving licenses and passports. An International license is only valid for 6 months from the date of entry in Qatar. Home country driver’s license is valid for 7 days use from the date of entry in Qatar.

SCDW can be purchased to reduce your excess to zero. In the case of an accident a complete valid police report is mandatory and must be provided to location staff when reported.

Comprehensive insurance coverage provided on all vehicles with the following limits of maximum liability of the insurance carrier: 1. Own Damage: up to the insured value less the legal depreciation OR the market value whichever is the lesser at the accident date. 2. Third Party property damage: unlimited. 3. Third party bodily injury and/or death: unlimited up to the Court Decision. 4. Personal accident to passengers or drivers: up to QAR 200,000 per person as per the PAB scale benefits defined. 5. Towage charges: up to QAR 350 per accident for the insured vehicle. ALL ABOVE are subject to accident occurring while the insured motor vehicle is being driven on paved streets or traffic intended roads within the state of Qatar as a result of: - Collision or overturning - Fire occasioned by self-ignition or lightning - Theft or attempted theft or burglary - Malicious acts of other - Fall or dispersal of objects The normal insurance exclusions apply for accidents caused by – driving through a red traffic light/disobeying manual instructions of the police, driving under the influence of any substance, driving without valid driving licence, self induced accidents/attempted suicide and similar exclusions to insurance claims.

Theft Protection (TP) covers theft of the vehicle only, subject to the original keys of the vehicle being returned to the rental station. TP does not cover - the theft of any special / additional equipment fitted to the vehicle including additional fiittings (eg GPS/Navsat) - the items/belongings of the renter/passengers luggage or personal belongings which were in the stolen vehicle. - Insurance claim for Theft protection requires a *valid and complete police report for the theft of the vehicle *handover of the original key of the vehicle to the renting station Exclusions • If the Vehicle is stolen or damaged because of negligence or more specifically (but without limitation) as a result of keys being left in the Vehicle whilst it is unattended or *keys/vehicle having been delivered to an unauthorised person; *failure to use the anti-theft system appropriately, *any failure by you to return the keys to the rental counter or *if you left the Vehicle unlocked when you weren't using it; • Theft of or damage to personal and / or work related goods or possessions and any goods being transported in or on the Vehicle. *failure to notify rental counter within 24 hours of the theft of the car *loss of vehicle when under the influence of any type or form of substance causing an effect upon the driving and memory capabilities of the renter/driver of the vehicle
